Gone digital

g7_mirror.jpg
As 2006 draws to its end, I’ve gone digital with photography. That’s a spanking new Canon Powershot G7, serial number 3131114078, in the mirror. Let megapixels rule.

Kekkonen in Hawaii
When the wonderful ladies of Kuulakka General Partnership are not writing concepts, scripts and copytexts – they come up with their own company Christmas parties.
The unlikely theme of this year’s gettogether was Hawaiian-Russian beach party.

Yrj

There are quite a few excellent things in Helsinki. Unbelieveably, I hadn’t visited the swimming hall in Yrj

Oatmeal
For some months now, I’ve been experimenting with oatmeal (s. “kaurapuuro” d. “Haferbrei”) recipes. By harnessing the Swedish management method of asking every passer-by, “what they think about it” – I’ve assimilated an oatmeal kickstarter, that makes your morning.
Oatmeal for two
2 mugs of water
1 mug of oatflakes
1 egg
Plus some milk, salt, butter and cinnamon.
Boil water, add some salt, add flakes, add a splash of milk, pour the egg in. Cook and mix until porridge is 85% solid. Leave under cover for some minutes. Serve. Add the “butter-eye” and cinnamon according to taste.

Data loss

Damn it! I lost over 200 links on my del.icio.us account while playing around with MTBlogroll plugin (which also crashed). Let this incident be one of the geekier reasons, why people should be able to skip December and January through hibernation.
So, the lesson is, be careful out there and backup often. Now.
